What is life without music?
Music has been an important part of his life. Almost all activities he does are accompanied by music. However, he does not consider himself a melomaniac. Jozsef also plays guitar. In the early years, he used to play some rock mostly in acoustic guitar (or at least he tried 😉), electric guitar was against particularly the small plastic thing used for stoking the strings, I think it is called pick 😜. Later on, in Germany, he played classical guitar being part of a guitar ensemble of the Oberspreewald-Lausitz Music School.
Classical: Bach, Wagner, Beethoven, Antonio Lauro, Tarrega, etc.
Hard & Heavy: Guns n' Roses, Skid Row, Metallica, Pantera, etc.
Salsa: Hector Lavoe, Rubén Blades, Willie Colón, Fania, etc.
He is simply open to any kind of style, if he likes it, he hears it!
...and then Corona came in 2020!
As for anyone in the world, corona gave him a hard time, being locked down at home shortened the possibilities of doing many things. However, and maybe this is the best however, it has been ever written, one day after home office, he decided to take his Ibanez Gio and play some Metallica songs. This became kind of an everyday ritual. Then, the idea came to play some GnR, since this is his favourite band. Anyone, who likes GnR, and wants to play it, knows that there is only one guitar for that, a Gibson Les Paul! Finally, after some doubting and following the recommendation, or better to say, reprimand of an old friend, he got a used one. From that day on, the fight with the electric guitar turned into a reconciliation and together work. The utmost goal was trying to play all the songs from Appetite for Destruction (at least the rhythm guitars).
Even though this goal has not been reached yet, the desire to play with other musicians was a growing fire inside him. In August 2021, he was called by a drummer who Jozsef contacted for about one year, they were looking for a new guitar player! It turned out to be the perfect people to play with and also to develop as a guitar player. With 44 years old, one of his biggest dreams came true, playing with a Band. The Band is called Die Schwarze Marie, and we play German Rock from the Black Forest, mal laut, mal leise. It has been an amazing trip and continues since them.
I am extremely grateful to fortune or whatever it is, for this change in life (upps 😜, I actually wrote this last sentence).
